Jus Allah joins Tim Lawson on Mighty Mighty Marsten House this week.
Most of you probably recognize Jus as a former member of Jedi Mind Tricks.
Tim and Jus will discuss more of Jus’ introduction to the culture, his creative process, being a group artist vs a solo artist and so much more.
Here’s a look at Jus Allah’s answers to the lightning round:
Tim Lawson: If you could collaborate with any artist on a Jus Allah track who would it be?
Jus Allah: Asking people to collaborate with me isn’t really my thing. I don’t want to load my album up with guest spots. It seems weird to pay people to play music with me. It takes away from your own sound. If I got cool with a rapper yes, but not someone I didn’t know personally.
Tim: Is there anywhere you haven’t performed that you wish you could?
Jus Allah: I never considered touring as a rapper. Anywhere that good people are. I haven’t been to Japan, I don’t really know how into hip hop they are. It all kind of runs together. You just see the hotel and the venue and then you are on the way to the next place.
Tim: Same question but with a producer?
Jus Allah: I’ve developed a sound with the people I work with now. I would say Alchemist. He can make anything sound good. The High and the Mighty. Now days Apollo Brown.
Tim: When can we expect your next album MMA?
Jus Allah: I didn’t feel a rush to release it. I don’t have a date just yet.
